人格測驗之巧妙騙術?

人格測驗現已被廣泛使用於企業招聘流程,雇主無非想透過測驗結果來瞭解你是否適合企業和這份工作。但,做人格測驗時,你該步步為營?還是誠實作答?

一年前,我的老闆請我做人格測驗的資料蒐集,蒐集大約五種人格測試。最近,老闆要大家都做Big Five Personality Test,做完後和他討論結果,並蒐集所有同事的人格測試,有助其他同事互相瞭解。對於測驗中三百道題目,誠實地測驗的結果也反映出我的個性,其中有某些特質和我的工作相違背,老闆花了約十五分鐘和我討論,他給我的建議是,個性沒有好壞,即使你的個性有不適合這份工作之處,你還是能試著找出解決的辦法來適應這份工作。

主修心理學的朋友則給予不同建議,她認為,

第一,  清楚人格測驗的用意:老闆為了瞭解陌生的你,他會依據此測驗結果判斷是否該僱用你,為了成功獲得工作,做題時需要一些技巧。

第二,  填寫測驗的巧妙訣竅:假設測驗問你,你是個脾氣壞的人?聰明的你,用常理判斷老闆會喜歡怎麼樣的員工,就算你脾氣差也要回答脾氣好。

第三,  保持一致性:人格測試往往設計成正反問答或重複問答,在測試的同時,別忘了保有一致性,別被測謊題打敗了!

第四,  保有自我,同時也保護自己:在保護自己的同時,也別忘了要保有自我,如果你的測驗結果過於完美,老闆可能會覺得這個人過於虛假。

另外,她認為個性可能隨著時間或事件的發生而有所改變,要保持中性的心態去看待每個個性,個性沒有好壞之分。而這個Big Five Personality Test 可能過於兩極化,沒有所謂的中間個性,其客觀程度仍有所爭議。

在職場上,人人為求自保和有所表現,和人相處往往多了一層戒備心,人格測驗只能幫你拿到進入企業的入場券,其他部份仍需靠個人努力。進入企業後,在劃清界線工作和生活的同時,別忘了適時地展現真實的自我!

3. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

 

The MBTI is mostly used in professional settings, and it is not cheap to do a group session, which is why it has mostly been confined to corporate settings. However, the MBTI is about personalities and relationships, and those are not confined to work place. The test actually has far more value outside of the work place, where we have the majority of our most meaningful relationships.

History of Big Five personality theory

Several independent sets of researchers discovered and defined the five broad factors based on empirical, data-driven research. Ernest Tupes and Raymond Cristal advanced the initial model, based on work done at the U.S. Air Force Personnel Laboratory in the late 1950s.1 J.M. Digman proposed his five factor model of personality in 19902, and Goldman extended it to the highest level of organizations in 1993.3 In a personality test, the Five Factor Model or FFM4 and the Global Factors of personality5 may also be used to reference the Big Five traits.
